The Soldiers Table Revealed
Episode 3 finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the initial group of characters who will split off from the central cast to begin their separate journey, apart from the other two tables.
This warrior group features Teor (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Introduction, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Schemers, and Seekers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged combat and conflict-driven story mode where non-violent answers are rare.
Initially, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to head next after a intense opening clash with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the story’s plot—manipulated the foes for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, striking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to auction.
The antagonist then cleared his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, beyond the city, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Personal Motivations
Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, desires retribution.
- The adventurer has experience in the northern area and cautions that it is a dangerous place.
- The warrior and Wicander, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate Teor and instead saved him, have no safe haven.
- However, their position as important members in the powerful family could assist the team reach locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The fighter vowed a eternal obligation to The savior for his salvation and will now accompany him wherever.
Fugitives
Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind too risky:
- The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.
This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in quest for Casimir.
What’s Next?
From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group will be absent in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the cast members to assemble the Seekers and Schemers groups.
