Cars in German Town Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Police Report

Incident location Affected vehicle Local Law Enforcement
Officers reported they were contacted by a resident who noticed a automobile in Hanau covered with red-colored substance

Roughly fifty cars have been covered with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the German town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by authorities.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were vandalized, sometimes with swastikas, they announced in a official communication.

Law enforcement report they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday, when a individual observed that a car in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish liquid.

The fluid had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then located multiple other marked vehicles and house walls in the nearby vicinity.

Swastikas are prohibited in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Police report preliminary tests show the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.

"At present there remains no clue as to where it came from; authorities are currently not aware of any injuries in association with the incident," they commented.

Municipal representatives announced they were working "to unravel the case" and have requested to the residents for information.

A high-ranking official said the vandalism made him without words and had to be solved rapidly.

"This event hits the very heart of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the extremist attack half a decade ago," he wrote on social media, mentioning the murder of nine people by a shooter aiming at residents of migrant background in 2020.
